ePro Scheduler makes it easy for you to apply daylight savings time to your schedule and payroll to ensure your system reflects the time change correctly.
Important things to note:
You should only apply The Daylight Savings Time tool after the date has passed.
Getting Started:
To begin you will need to navigate to ePro Scheduler > Payroll > Daylight Savings. This will bring up the daylight savings page.
In the 'DST Date' box enter the daylight savings date. Next for the 'Action' radio button, you will need to select whether you want to Spring Forward or Fall Back.
Once you have finished updating the fields for your new rule you will click the green 'Add' button.
You are then ready to apply your Daylight Savings Rules.
Before applying daylight savings, you will first need to navigate to ePro Scheduler > Timekeeping > Discrepancies. From there you will complete all discrepancies for the date after it has passed.
For the below discrepancy example, the employee punched out 30 minutes later than their scheduled time. Updating the discrepancy will give them a new duration of 8 hours and 30 minutes before applying daylight savings.
Once all discrepancies have been completed, you are ready to apply the Daylight Savings Time rule. To do this you will click the blue 'Apply' link.
This will bring up a window where you will confirm that you are ready to apply the rule and which item types you wish to apply the rule to. Select the item types you wish to apply day light savings to and hit the green Add button. Once you have determined which items you wish to apply the rule hit the blue Apply button.
Once you click the blue 'Apply' button, the date and time stampt will then show beside the rule to indicate when the rule was applied.
After this, new discrepancies will appear, but you will ignore these. In the below example, the scheduled time now shows 9 hours and 30 minutes since the employee worked through the daylight saving time adjustment.
