The employee import file allows you to upload employee profile information quickly without needing to update each field one by one manually. Attached at the bottom of this article is a blank file template you can use for importing your employee data.
Important things to note:
Leaving fields blank in the Employee Import will remove any data already listed in an employee's profile. To turn import fields on or off to prevent this you will navigate to Employees > Configure Employees > Configure Import Fields. From there you will have the ability to enable / disable which fields will actively import data from your file.
Getting Started:
To begin you will first download the template found at the bottom of this support article relevant to your needs. You can use this to enter your employee data based on the column headers. Once you have an employee file to import, you will navigate to Employees > Import Employees. You will select the radio button for the type of import file you are uploading. Next you will click the blue 'Click To Upload File' link.
This will bring up the option to browse your computer for the file.
The file must be saved as a .CSV (Comma Delimited) file format. You will then locate and select the file from your computer and then click the 'Open' button.
From here you will then have the option to click the blue 'Upload' button.
Once the file has uploaded successfully, you will click the blue 'Click to complete the import...' button to finish loading your import file.
You should then see how many employee records have been successfully imported.
