User permissions allow the system administrator to provide varying levels of access to different types of users. We recommend creating multiple user groups and layering them depending on what access employees should have in ePro Scheduler.
Important things to note:
Some pages are not intended for use by 'Basic Users' and may provide them more access than would normally be intended. Typical permissions for base level employees tend to limit them to the Self Service menu.
Getting Started:
To begin you will first navigate to Administrator > User Groups. From there you can either select a pre-existing user group from the drop down menu to edit or add one by clicking the blue 'Add' button.
Once you have selected or added a user group, you can begin updating the permissions for the group. You will also have access to green 'Save' button, gray 'Clone' button, and a red 'Delete' button.
General Access:
There are three User Group sections but for this walk through, we will focus on the green 'General Access' section. Sections are divided into parts that mirror the menus within ePro Scheduler allowing you to break down permissions page by page.

Access to Main Menus:
The 'Function Access' section is what provides access to the main admin menus in ePro Scheduler. To provide or disable access to any of these main admin menus, you will update the access to them here.
Access to Self Service:
The 'Self Service' section allows you to tailor the pages your employees can access in their Self Service menu.
- The 'Schedule Info' option provides an employee with access to their schedule data.
- The 'Shift Swap' option provides access to a Shift Swap / Shift Sub tool.
- The 'Shift Availability' option provides access to submit availability by pay period.
- The 'Request Timeoff' option provides access to submit time off requests.
- The 'Future Balance Calculator' option provides a tool within the employee's profile where they can view an estimate of their time off for a future date based on accruals.
- The 'Overtime Queue' provides access to the self service version of the overtime queue.
- The 'Auto Shift Pickup' option allows employee shift pick up requests to be approved without any intervention from management.
- The 'Online Timeclock' option provides employees with a time clock accessible from anywhere.
- The 'Allow Add To Timecard' option allows employees to add time to their time card.
- The 'Allow Field Training Entry' option allows an employee to add any field training they completed under the ConEd section.
- The 'Vehicles' option provides access to submit problem reports, status updates, and to the legacy vehicle checklists.
- The 'Incident Reports' option provides employees with the ability to submit incident reports for ePro Tracker.
- The 'Personal Profile' option provides access to a personal profile where demographic and certification data is displayed.
- The 'Allow Submit Update' option provides employees access to submit demographic change requests.
- The 'Allow Certification Upload' option provides employees with the ability to submit certification update requests.

- The 'Message - Allow Group Send' option provides employees with access to send messages to any 'Message Groups' that have been made public.
- The 'Bulletin Board' option provides access to a simple message board where employees can communicate with each other.
- The 'Documents' option provides access to any public document folders along with any files that have been assigned to the specific employee.
- The 'Change Password' option provides employees with the ability to update their password.
- The ' Activity Log ' option provides employees with access to submit an activity log entry.
- The 'Operations Log' option provides employees with access to submit an operations log entry.
- The 'Vehicle Checklists' option provides access to the new vehicle checklists.
- The 'Auto Employee Time' option allows any time added to their time card to be automatically approved without management intervention.
Access to Admin Message Center:
The 'Message Center' section provides access to the admin Message Center menu.
- The 'Address Book' option provides access to contact information for all users and companies listed in the system.
- The 'Message Folders' options provides access to all sent and received scheduling messages.
- The 'Send Message' option provides access to the admin send message option.
- The 'Send Msg - All Employees' option provides access to message all employees in the system.

Access to Admin Employee Menu:
The 'Employee' section provides access to update employee profiles and data.

- The 'Delete Employee' option provides access to delete employee profiles. (We strongly recommend that you never delete profiles and instead list them as terminated or inactive.)

- The 'Credentials' option provides access to view and approve employee certification update requests.

- The 'Import Employees' option provides access to import employee data via CSV file.
