Shift Pickups provides tools for viewing and managing shift pickup requests. Schedulers can view shift pickup requests for a pay period or day and use shift Cost Center filters. This view provides options for displaying pending, approved, denied, or all shift pickup requests.
Important things to note:
There isn't an undo option for shift pickups. Once a pickup is approved, any changes that need to be made will need to be done manually.
Getting Started:
To begin you will navigate to ePro Scheduler > Scheduling > Shift Pickups.
- The 'Pay Period' defaults to current scheduled 14 day period but can be updated to any created period.
- The 'Day' defaults to current scheduled day but can be updated within the selected pay period.
- The 'Shift Cost Center' defaults to all cost centers and filters requests based on selected shift cost center.
- The 'Display' defaults to Pending requests and filters requests by approval status.
Approving/Denying Requests:
First click on the pencil and paper icon in the 'Status' column. This will open a window that will allow you to review and manage the request.
Similar to a normal schedule item, You're able to make changes to any of the fields if needed. You can also decide to notify the employee by email or text. To do this you will check one of the boxes beside the 'Notify By' section.
To approve the shift pickup, click the green 'Approve' button. A pop-up will appear asking if you'd like to automatically deny other requests for this shift.
After selecting 'Yes' or 'No,' you'll be notified that the employee has been added to the shift. You'll notice that on the Shift Pickups page, a will appear in the 'Status' column to indicate that the shift pickup has been approved.
To deny the shift pickup, click the red 'Deny' button. A pop-up will appear asking if you're sure you want to deny this shift pickup request. After clicking the green 'Confirm' button, you'll be notified that the pickup request for the employee has been denied. You'll notice that on the Shift Pickups page, a will appear in the 'Status' column to indicate that the shift pickup has been denied.
